It's the daughters birthday and I'm missing it for the celiac support meeting. Oh well, I couldn't have the cake anyway.
My dietitian says only 50% of celiacs succeed with the diet and those only with the help of a support group. (#1 Find a group in your area: Celiac Support Group of America: http://csaceliacs.org/ or Gluten Intolerance Group: GIG http://gluten.net/)
What are they going to make me do? "Hi, I'm Terina and I've been clean for ... 22 hours if you don't count slurping the bread crumbs off the counter after dinner." This isn't fair. I rebuke myself with the same response I give my kids, "Get over it! Life isn't Fair!" And I respond just like they would, "This still sucks."
