At the last family get-together, the husband (Mr. Darcey's) Mom, baked this cake non gf and I thought to try it g-f. This is originally a weight-watchers recipe. The modification was not hard using a gluten free cake mix.
Stir a can of cherry pie filling into an angel food cake mix and combine the batter until smooth.
Pour batter into an UNGREASED 9x13 pan.
Bake at 350 for about 45 minutes.
I wish I had taken a photo of the cake itself, but I did snag a photo of the last piece before the family devoured it at the last reunion.
She says to use any flavor of pie filling, but liked the tang of the cherry best.
